ATP Chapter

Support to Chapters

The Chapters Committee is charged to promote the mission and the goals of ATP by:

1. Acting as a liaison between Chapters and ATP.
2. Supporting and encouraging Chapter activities that adhere to the mission and goals of ATP.
3. Identifying and encouraging individuals and leaders of Chapters.
4. Encouraging membership in Chapters and ATP.
5. Encouraging collaboration between Chapters and ATP.
6. Making recommendations to ATP on how to better structure activities to meet the needs of Chapters.

Services Provided to Chapters

1. ATP provides training for new officers of a Chapter at national conferences.
2. ATP provides guidelines for development of constitution and by-laws, when needed.
3. ATP informs the membership of Chapters of upcoming conferences.
4. ATP provides links to Chapters via its main web page.
5. ATP acts as a clearinghouse of ideas between all Chapters and works to coordinate attendance at conferences or online workshops.
6. ATP works with Chapters to develop certification criteria and offers ATP certification to Chapters members who fulfill ATP certification guidelines.
7. ATP allows opportunities for Chapter members to publish in ATP's newsletter and journal.
8. ATP provides board members to conduct training workshops and to speak at conferences/meetings of Chapter organizations. (If Chapters have funds to offset expenses, then they will be asked to do so. If not, the Chapters could offer these workshops as fee-paying events to cover expenses.)
