Beverlyn was interested in becoming involved in ATP activities because of the importance and impact of tutoring in attaining success in college - particularly first and second year students through successful transition, retention and persistence. The tutoring profession is a crucial part of higher education and being a part of ATP is one way to be involved and assist students in achieving their goals. Beverlyn was excited about working as the ATP’s Public Relations chair with the goal of increasing exhibitors for the 2011 ATP conference.
