Mr. McLeod has a BS degree in Science Education-Physics and a MEd (both from Clemson University). He has served as the Coordinator for Tutorial Services for the Academic Success Center (ASC) at Clemson University since October, 2006. Mike was the director of the Agricultural Engineering Instrumentation Lab for over 29 years before coming to the Academic Success Center where he directed research and designed sensors and data acquisition systems. In addition, he was the Information Technology coordinator for the Clemson Extension Service (Public Service Activity) for 16 years. He has taught the freshman seminar course since 1997. In his spare time, Mike enjoys his two grandsons, restoring antique automobiles, traveling, and fishing. The ASC offers FREE drop-in tutoring in a group setting in over 60 courses at Clemson University with 40 plus tutors employed. The ASC tutorial services program is a CRLA Level1-3 certified program with 3 tutor zones across campus to deliver programming. On level 5 in Cooper Library, Zone 1, you will find tutors to help with introductory level courses in math, biology, chemistry and physics. Look for the colored mesh vests (Orange for math, statistics, economics and management; Yellow for biochemistry, biology, chemistry and physics). Also look for table signs to identify the specific courses. Zone 2 is on the second floor of Hendrix in front of the Mural. Zone 3 is in the Brown Union Loggia across from the Apple store. The entire ASC program can be found at our website; www.clemson.edu/asc. |
