	ATP Workshops Series The Basics of Tutoring ATP Membership Click here for Registration Form The ATP is happy to announce the next in its continuing series of on-line workshops. This workshop, The Basics of Tutoring, will be offered as an open entry/open exit workshop where participants may visit any module at any time. This workshop will be offered July 15 through August 15, 2010. The list of topics is still in progress, but will focus on the basics of tutoring good communication skills, tutoring in a variety of situations, tutoring ethics, developing interpersonal skills, and online tutoring communication. If you would like to submit a PowerPoint to be included, please contact me as soon as possible so we can discuss content and format. The intended audience is tutors and tutor trainers. This workshop will count as three CEUs toward ATP Tutor or Tutor Trainer Certification. A certificate of completion will be granted upon completion of the workshop. The cost of this workshop is $60 for ATP members and $90 for non-members. However, you may become a member and enroll for the workshop at the same time. New membership dues are $30 per year. Arrangements for payment will be honored, and participants will be registered and passwords e-mailed in order to start the workshop on time. However, ATP online training workshops may contribute to a tutor's development and enhance such training if guided by the organization's tutor coordinator.
